KEY FEATURES

Market Flips

Find opportunities using reported market orders, with profit estimates that include purchase costs, sales tax, upgrade costs, and smuggler fees.

Private Flips

Find flips using your own market scans. Set your saved Has Premium preference in Public or Private Flips to use the right sales tax for new flips.

Upgrade Flips and Materials

Compare upgrades using runes, souls, and relics. Tracked material quantities save automatically when you consume a flip and never drop below zero.

Edit Recorded Flips

Adjust prices, costs, Premium status, and setup fees through Edit Flip in Session Flips or Your Flips. Each recorded flip keeps its own settings.

Failed Flips and Resale Prices

Track unsold or lost items. For failed flips, see the best reported resale price first, expand other prices, or confirm a price to mark the flip successful.

Complete History and Statistics

Browse paged flips or trading sessions, filter for failed or lost flips, and view totals and charts covering every matching record.

HOW TO USE

Understanding Black Market Flipping

What is a Flip?

A flip involves purchasing an item from a standard market and selling it to a buy order, usually on the Black Market, for profit. These are single-use, instant transactions.

Data Sources

Price data is sourced from The Albion Online Data Project (AODP). To contribute data, use the official AODP client or the Albion Free Market Data Client, which offers a graphical interface. You need to use a data client to successfully flip!

Using the Black Market Flipper Tool

Finding Flips

  • Market Scanning: Use the data client to upload current market prices. The system compares sell orders from standard markets with buy orders on the Black Market to identify profitable flips.
  • Data Freshness: Sell orders are held for 180 minutes and buy orders for 45 minutes to minimize false positives.
  • Three Steps: Flipping involves three key steps:
    • Scanning the City Market: Scan the market in your chosen city.
    • Scanning the Black Market: Scan the Black Market.
    • Executing the Flip: Purchase items from the standard market and sell them to the Black Market as quickly as possible to capitalize on identified opportunities.

Consuming Flips

  • Marking as Consumed: When you execute a flip, mark it as consumed to track your transactions and update the system.
  • Upgrade Materials: Consuming an upgrade flip automatically deducts and saves tracked material quantities, stopping at zero. Untracked quantities stay untracked. If saving fails, use the retry action.
  • Recording the Outcome: In Session Flips or Your Flips, leave both outcome buttons unselected for a successful flip, mark it as failed when you still own the unsold item, or mark the item as lost when it is destroyed during transport.
  • Realized Profit: Failed flips contribute zero profit. Lost items subtract the recorded purchase price, upgrade cost, and smuggler fee from your personal profit. Outcome changes are reversible and do not affect public Flipper statistics.

Premium, Prices, and Setup Fees

  • Has Premium: This shared preference saves automatically in Public and Private Flips. It affects new flips; existing records keep their saved Premium status.
  • Edit Flip: In Session Flips or Your Flips, including expanded sessions, use Edit to change Buy Price, Sell Price, Upgrade Cost, Smuggler Fee, Has Premium, or Add Setup Fee. Review the profit preview before saving.
  • Add Setup Fee: New flips start without a sell-order setup fee. Enable it only through Edit Flip when needed. It deducts 2.5% of the final sell price, and a sell-order icon appears beside the sell location.
  • Upgrade-Material Fees: These are controlled separately in the material settings and are already included in Upgrade Cost. Add Setup Fee does not change them. Editing a flip never consumes or restores materials.

Selling a Failed Flip

Current Prices shows the best reported resale option and an estimated profit or loss using the flip’s saved costs and settings. Expand the other prices when you want to compare them. Check the price age and confirm the order is still available in game.

Choose Use this price to open a confirmation. Confirming saves that sell price and marks the flip successful; cancelling leaves the record unchanged.

Your Flips History

  • Date and Market Filters: Your Flips opens on the last three months. Choose another date range, including All time, and narrow the results by server or item.
  • Sessions: Sessions group flips on the same server and buy/sell route. A gap greater than 30 minutes starts a new session. Browse 30 sessions per page and 25 flips per page inside an expanded session.
  • Failed and Lost Filters: With Group by sessions enabled, filters select matching sessions and keep all their flips visible. Ungrouped filters select individual flips. Select both Only failed flips and Only lost flips to include either outcome.
  • Session Summaries: Each session shows failed and lost counts with a compact profit or loss amount. Marking a session as lost, or unmarking it, updates all its members, including flips on other pages.
  • Performance: Totals cover all matching flips, or all flips in matching sessions, regardless of the loaded page. Expand the chart to see profit or flip counts. Hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly intervals adapt to the selected range, and you can choose an interval yourself.

Flipping Strategies

Safe Flipping

Caerleon Only: Buy items in Caerleon and sell directly to the Black Market. This method avoids red zones and is safer but typically yields lower profits (e.g., 100k profit flips are common; 1M+ are rare).

Riskier Flipping

Royal Cities to Black Market: Purchase items in royal cities and transport them to the Black Market. This approach involves traversing red zones, increasing risk but also potential profit. Brecilien offers high profitability but with significant danger.

Flipper Statistics

Activity Monitoring

The flipper page displays a chart of total value of consumed flips per hour. Highlighted areas represent weekends. Use this to gauge recent flipping activity and identify optimal times for profitable flips.
