The data clients are small companion apps that quietly watch the market data you already see in-game. They turn that information into live price updates that power AFM and other tools.
Running a data client is the easiest way to give back: every price you upload helps the entire community make faster, smarter trade decisions, and you get the most accurate numbers possible when planning your own flips, crafts, or transports.
Both the AFM Data Client and the original AODP Data Client, by default, upload data to the same AODP servers, which can be used by many third-party tools and services. The AFM Data Client also offers an optional private upload mode that allow user to find flips on AFM without sharing their data publicly.
You don't need to run both clients. Just pick the one that best fits your needs and play as usual. The more people who run a data client, the better the market snapshot becomes for everyone.
The AFM Data Client desktop app (built on the AlbionDataAvalonia project) is a lightweight, cross-platform tool that uploads market data. It is a free and open source project.
If you prefer to support the network from your phone, try the AFM Data Client Mobile (Beta). It mirrors the desktop experience but captures data from your Android device using passive monitoring.
The Albion Online Data Project (AODP) client fuels the public dataset at albion-online-data.com.
This is the official data client for the Albion Online Data Project.
These walkthroughs show how to install, configure, and verify your uploads step by step:
Once your data client is running, leave it on while you shop or scan markets.
Albion Free Market is a tool designed to be used in accordance with the terms of service of Albion Online, as set by Sandbox Interactive (SBI). Our service utilizes passive monitoring of network traffic, a practice which SBI has publicly stated it does not consider an offense.
SBI allows passive monitoring of network traffic for analysis: "As some of you have already pointed out, using WireShark or similar tools to analyze network traffic is undetectable from our end and we therefore do not consider it an offense. The network packets do not contain any secret information, it is basically all stuff you can see on screen in the game in some form. If you wanna build a tool based on that - fine." (source)
While we strive to ensure compliance, SBI's policies may change, and the interpretation of their rules is at their sole discretion. We do not have control over SBI's decisions, and they do not officially endorse any third-party applications. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable SBI policies, and for any consequences that may affect your game account. If you have any doubts, contact SBI directly to make an informed decision.
By using Albion Free Market and any related data client, you agree to be responsible for your actions and to use the tool at your own risk. This includes any consequences that may arise from your use of the service or the data client, such as impacts on your game account.
