Learning Points and Quick Learn in Albion Online: Where to Spend Them
Learning Points (LP) speed up the Destiny Board. On a node with Quick Learn turned on, every point of fame you earn counts five times, and the game spends Learning Points as that extra fame comes in. You still play, but a level takes a fifth of the fame.
This guide covers where Learning Points come from, how Quick Learn spends them, how many points a node needs, and where each point saves the most fame. The fame and Learning Point values below are read from the game's Destiny Board data.
How to get Learning Points
| Source | Learning Points |
|---|---|
| Premium | 30 per day, one every 48 minutes (about 900 per month) |
| Adventurer's Challenge Daily Bonus | 10 per day without Premium, for completing the Daily Bonus (Premium players get their 30 a day without it) |
| Season bundles and shop packs | For example, 1,000 in the Season 34 Season Bundle |
Without Premium your Learning Points do not grow on their own. The cap is 999,999 points, so you can save them for later.
How Quick Learn works
The Abyssal Depths update (June 2025) replaced Auto-Learn with Quick Learn:
- Fame earned on a node with Quick Learn active is multiplied by five, and Learning Points are spent as the boosted fame is earned.
- The Learning Points it takes to complete a node did not change. The old rule that let you spend points only after 20% of a level is gone.
- Quick Learn can be on for single nodes or for all of them. With the global Quick Learn option at the top of the Destiny Board, points are spent whenever any active node earns fame.
- Nodes that you unlock through Quick Learn have it switched on by default.
Since the Dragonfire update, specializations of the same weapon or armor line sit in one combined node, and you can switch Quick Learn on for each specialization inside it or for all of them at once.
Example: one level of Broadsword Combat Specialist
Level 100 of Broadsword Combat Specialist needs 1,027,392 fame and 60 Learning Points.
| Fame you earn | Learning Points spent | |
|---|---|---|
| Without Quick Learn | 1,027,392 | 0 |
| With Quick Learn | 205,478 | 60 |
With Quick Learn you earn a fifth of the fame, and the 60 Learning Points pay for the other four fifths.
How many Learning Points a node needs
To take a node from 0 to 100 with Quick Learn on the whole way, you spend all of its Learning Points and earn a fifth of its fame:
| Node (example) | Fame to level 100 | Learning Points to level 100 | Fame with Quick Learn |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weapon combat specialization (Broadsword Combat Specialist) | 33,910,220 | 2,632 | 6,782,044 |
| Weapon combat line (Sword Fighter) | 14,743,573 | 2,288 | 2,948,715 |
| Armor combat specialization (Soldier Armor Combat Specialist) | 33,910,220 | 1,316 | 6,782,044 |
| Helmet or shoes combat specialization (Judicator Helmet Combat Specialist) | 33,910,220 | 658 | 6,782,044 |
| Weapon crafting specialization (Sword Crafting Specialist) | 25,758,944 | 3,050 | 5,151,789 |
| Weapon crafting line (Sword Crafter) | 12,879,472 | 3,050 | 2,575,894 |
| Armor crafting specialization (Soldier Armor Crafting Specialist) | 12,879,472 | 1,525 | 2,575,894 |
| T4 gathering (Adept Ore Miner) | 2,927,130 | 1,780 | 585,426 |
| T8 gathering (Elder Ore Miner) | 33,732,943 | 2,154 | 6,746,589 |
| T4 refining (Adept Ore Smelter) | 2,900,810 | 1,522 | 580,162 |
| T8 refining (Elder Ore Smelter) | 21,915,828 | 2,507 | 4,383,166 |
| Crop or animal (Carrot Farmer, Cow Breeder) | 2,017,942 | 1,525 | 403,588 |
With Premium alone, a weapon combat specialization's 2,632 points take 88 days to collect.
The Destiny Calculator shows the fame and Learning Points of every level of any node. Tick Quick Learn and it counts the items, resources, seeds or animals you need with it on, from your current level.

Where Learning Points save the most fame
A Learning Point spent with Quick Learn saves four fifths of the fame it pays for. How much fame that is depends on the node and the level, so the same point is worth very different amounts:
| Node | Fame saved per Learning Point, levels 1 to 50 | Levels 81 to 100 |
|---|---|---|
| Judicator Helmet Combat Specialist | 28,808 | 50,696 |
| Soldier Armor Combat Specialist | 14,404 | 25,348 |
| Broadsword Combat Specialist | 7,202 | 12,674 |
| Sword Fighter | 3,606 | 6,336 |
| Elder Ore Miner (T8) | 5,860 | 19,285 |
| Adept Ore Miner (T4) | 1,011 | 1,527 |
| Sword Crafting Specialist | 3,711 | 9,222 |
| Carrot Farmer | 628 | 1,355 |
Four rules follow from the data:
- Spend them on high levels. Levels 81 to 100 save about twice as much fame per point as levels 1 to 50, and up to three times on high-tier gathering. Early levels are quick to earn by playing anyway.
- Helmet, shoes and armor specializations are the best value in combat. They need as much fame as a weapon specialization but only a half (armor) or a quarter (helmet and shoes) of the Learning Points.
- Skip low tiers. A T4 gathering or refining node saves around 1,000 to 1,500 fame per point; T8 nodes save five to ten times more. T4 fame is cheap to earn.
- Specializations before lines. A line node such as Sword Fighter levels from every weapon of its line and saves the least fame per point.
Crafting: price your Learning Points in silver
Crafting fame costs silver: materials, or items you buy to study. A Learning Point on a crafting node is worth the fame it saves times what that fame would cost you. The Study Calculator shows the silver per fame of the cheapest items to study for any node. Multiply it by the fame saved per point above to see what your points are worth in silver, and compare that with the price of a Learning Point pack.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the global Quick Learn option on. It spends points on every node you level, including the cheap early levels of nodes you only touch by accident.
- Forgetting that new nodes inherit Quick Learn. A node unlocked through Quick Learn starts with it on. Check the Quick Learn overview after a big session.
- Buying points before Premium. Premium gives 900 points a month on top of Focus, Premium fame and the other bonuses; a pack only gives points.
